Mobbin as Product Discovery
· product-design
The Idea
I enjoy browsing Mobbin to find interesting, well-designed new products. It's a design pattern library, but it doubles as a product discovery tool — you see what's being built, how teams are solving UX problems, and which products care enough about design to be featured.
Why This Matters
- Product radar: Mobbin surfaces products you might not find through typical channels (HN, PH, Twitter). The curation is design-quality, not hype.
- Learning by example: Seeing real UI patterns in context is more useful than abstract design principles.
- Taste calibration: Regular exposure to good design trains intuition for what "good" looks like.
