Expertise Enables Ambition
· agents, business
The Idea
Deep expertise in a niche enables larger ambitions. You don't start with the big vision — you master something specific, then realize it unlocks a bigger play.
Example: Manus
From a podcast with Peak (Manus chief scientist): the team may have the best knowledge of web contents, web scraping, and browser control in the world. This made them perfect for building a general agent that controls browsers.
They didn't start with "let's build a general agent." They started with mastering web/browser control, then realized it was the foundation for something bigger.
Why This Matters
For finding my own niche:
- Expertise isn't picked abstractly — it emerges from going deep on something specific
- The niche becomes a competitive moat
- The question: what could I master through ReadyCall that becomes foundation for something bigger?
Candidates:
- Meeting intelligence — what makes meetings work, what info matters
- People/company research — finding and synthesizing info about anyone
- Real-time AI assistance — prompting humans in the moment
